Soy un artista autodidacta, desde que tengo recuerdos he sentido la necesidad de expresar mis emociones y pensamientos a través de la pintura y de la escultura, mi primera obra la realicé en toda una pared de mi casa cuando aún tenía pañal, dibujé barcos, casas, aviones y un retrato de toda mi familia. Desde ese momento me sentí un incomprendido, pues en vez de premiar mi obra me llevé una buena azotaina, y eso que aquello era verdadero arte contemporáneo…Tal vez no les gustó el material que utilicé para pintar, pero no tenía otra pintura mas a mano que la de mi pañal.


 


Después de esta experiencia, realicé obras más conservadoras, los típicos dibujos del cole de copiar y tal y tal…


que desde luego no me motivaron demasiado, hasta que en mi adolescencia conocí la pintura de Dalí y otros surrealistas.


Entonces comprendí que lo que realmente quería expresar era el obscuro y mágico mundo de los sueños, de mis sueños y pulsiones más profundas ,comencé a pintar con dedicación relativamente tarde, a los veinte años, utilizando todos los materiales que venían a mis manos. Participé en exposiciones colectivas en Béjar, en el Ábside de San Gil, en el Ateneo Cultural y en diversos locales particulares de individualmente.


 


También realicé una serie de esculturas con arcilla, caolín y barro refractario con motivos de mi imaginario surrealista, Esculturas eróticas y bajorrelieves que tuvieron muy buena acogida.


 


Recientemente he realizado varias exposiciones en Béjar y alrededores, tratando de acercar mi trabajo a todo tipo de públicos. En 2009 fui seleccionado en la VIII Bienal de Escultura Mateo Hernández con la obra “Tótem ancestral vs tótem milenario”.


 


Actualmente me dedico de pleno a mi actividad artística.


 


Desde el 2009 realizo una serie de esculturas de carácter mágico-ritual basadas en sueños e intuiciones de lo que serían los primeros ídolos totémicos y a través de ellas realizar mi propia “evolución del arte”, los materiales utilizados son hierro, madera, piedra o materiales reciclados, gastados por la mar o la naturaleza.


Procuro darle durabilidad a mi obra y que resista bien el paso del tiempo, y a la par que tengan un aspecto realmente milenario.


El lenguaje que utilizo es el de la complementariedad de materiales y formas, conjugando rectas y curvas, escritura y símbolos, lo pesado y lo ligero, para que a pesar de su complejidad todo tenga coherencia.

Bear in mind we are dealing with works of art, so they may be in an exhibition (actually, this is awesome!). Those artworks which are in an exhibition are usually displayed as “non-available”. In case the artwork has been put up for sale, take into account the artist would have to manage with the organization of the exhibition the return of the artwork in order to be able to realize the shipment.
